Privacy policy
For Flying Angel, protecting your data is not a side issue — it is part of the idea. We process personal data in accordance with the revised Swiss Data Protection Act (revFADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This policy describes what data we process, for what purpose, and what rights you have.
1. Controller
Flying Angel Stiftungc/o Sven Düring, Fuchsenbergstrasse 15, 8645 Jona

2. No cookies, no tracking, no banner
This website works without cookies, without embedded third-party content and without tracking of individuals. The fonts we use are self-hosted and are not loaded from third-party servers. For this reason, no cookie or consent banner is required.
3. Server log files
When you visit the website, technically necessary data transmitted by your browser is processed (e.g. the page requested, time of access, browser type). This data serves solely the secure and stable operation of the website. IP addresses are not combined into personal profiles and are not stored on a personally identifiable basis. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR and the legitimate interest under the revFADP).
4. Audience measurement — cookie-free
Insofar as we analyse the use of the website, this is done exclusively with cookie-free, self-hosted statistics that store no personal data and no IP addresses. No data is transferred to third parties.
5. Applications for a flight (“Fly along”)
If you apply for a flight, we process the details you submit — depending on the channel you choose, your video message or your written text, as well as your name and e-mail address. The e-mail address is required so that we can automatically confirm receipt and get back to you personally. The legal basis is your consent, which you give directly in the form.
Your application may contain data requiring special protection, for example information about your health (Art. 9 GDPR). We treat such information with corresponding care and exclusively for the purpose of processing your application.
Storage & encryption
Your application is transmitted over an encrypted connection (TLS) and stored encrypted on our own server: the video with AES-256, and your details likewise. Access is restricted to a small, named group of people, protected by a password, and logged. We deliberately use no external processors for the application channel — your data stays with Flying Angel.
Deletion rules
- Application videos of declined applications are deleted immediately after the decision.
- Accepted applications remain stored until the respective story has been fully told.
- The deletion periods also apply to backups.
Publication
Images or videos are only published after separate, written consent has been given. The right to one’s own image (Art. 28 of the Swiss Civil Code) and, where applicable, the special requirements for health data are decisive here.
6. Contacting us
If you contact us by e-mail or phone, we process your details exclusively to handle your request.
7. Disclosure to third parties
Your data is not passed on to third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so. We use no external processors for the processing operations described in this policy.
8. Your rights
You have the statutory rights to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may withdraw consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. A message to the contact details above is sufficient to exercise these rights.
9. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Switzerland, this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern. Where the GDPR applies, you may also contact the data protection authority of your country of residence.
10. Data security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures (transport encryption via TLS, encryption of stored application data, strict access control, logging) to protect your data against loss, manipulation and unauthorised access.
11. Version and changes
This privacy policy is dated June 2026. We will adapt it if the further development of the website or changed legal requirements make this necessary.
